Thanks to PS5 Final Fantasy XVI will be “a real roller coaster”.

Final Fantasy XVI is one of the most anticipated games of the coming year by PS5 fans and fans of this veteran JRPG franchise. This new installment of the main series will feature a multitude of novelties in terms of combat, companions and invocations, but it also promises an important advance in technical issues thanks to the power of PS5.

As we could see in that first presentation trailer and the new gameplay trailer shared just a few days ago in the State of Play, Final Fantasy XVI has a new generation graphic section thanks to PS5. Although it is not precisely the visual section that most excites the team in terms of the advantages that the Sony console allows.

“Thanks to the increased processing power, obviously the graphics are much richer than before, but super fast loading times are what impresses me the most“, assured the producer Naoki Yoshida in an interview with the playstation blog. “In Final Fantasy XVI you can jump straight from story scenes to real-time battles and return with no load times, allowing for a dizzying flow of gameplay. Thanks to the technology of PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy XVI can be a real roller coaster, “he confirms.

There is still a long way to go to see the result first hand, but Final Fantasy XVI is scheduled for summer 2023 exclusively for PS5.
