Well, at least this time he was considered for the tournament…
Yamcha now claims that he alone is the strongest martial artist on Earth, placing himself above Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo. While Yamcha may not have the power levels that fellow Dragon Ball warriors like Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan may have (not even in his wildest dreams), he certainly does have some level of skill as he demonstrated early on. of the franchise and will now use in the Space-Time Super Tournament.
In fact, it should be remembered that in the Moro arc, Yamcha stated that he is one of the strongest earthlings that exist and it is not for less, either due to excess security or knowledge of his abilities, that he has faced the most powerful villains of the universe. However, his claim to be the strongest martial artist on Earth in the Super Space-Time Tournament and part of Team 1 it means he considers himself above saiyan fighters mentioned above in terms of skill and sheer strength.
While Dragon Ball has certainly strayed far from the more traditional early type of martial arts (which Yamcha might have a chance at), it’s really hard to give Yamcha any kind of wiggle room in this area given how often he fails. completely in his efforts. Despite this, our “mighty warrior” was somehow selected to join the Super Space-Time Tournament, so maybe there is some truth in your statementif it turns out that he is now the strongest earthling, surpassing even Rochi, Krillin or Androids 18 or 17, it will be an interesting twist in his story.
Be that as it may, it seems that this movement consolidates Yamcha’s position as the “joke” of the Z warriors that has been consolidated for several decades of Dragon Ball history, to the dismay of his fans (who still care for him and celebrated his even in DBZ fighters). Some critics of Yamucha’s negligence argue that his fall from grace is part of a long process of smearing because Akira Toriyama doesn’t know what to do with him anymore.. While it seems out of character, his current self-deception attitude is about to be another embarrassing moment in Yamcha’s long list of mistakes in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Yamcha’s true strength in Dragon Ball
Yamcha’s level of deception has reached an all-time high in the Dragon Ball franchise as he now believes that he is the best martial artist in the world in Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultra God Mission. Almost every bow since the introduction of Yamcha have only served to humiliate and further deteriorate his character. Yamcha has been the butt of many jokes throughout the franchise, and even his death pose became an iconic part of the franchise as a meme.
When Yamcha was first introduced in Dragon Ball chapter 7, he posed a significant threat to Goku, Oolong, and Bulma due to his martial arts prowess and mastery of weapons. Yamucha was the first opponent to really push Goku to his limits.. The powerful and fearsome Wolf Fang was more than capable of knocking Goku through stone pillars with little effort. Unfortunately, things went downhill from Yamcha almost immediately. Even in the arc that he was introduced in, he was continually put in scenarios where his gag of being afraid of women would cause him great embarrassment.
In Dragon Ball Z, Yamcha dies while fighting a single Saibaman., falling prey to his kamikaze attack. For the rest of the series, Yamcha has virtually no significant fights and sees other Earthlings, including Tien and Krillin, at a distance. In Dragon Ball Super, Goku doesn’t even consider Yamcha for the Tournament of Power, even taking Master Roshi on him.
Constantly being sidelined must have gotten to the warrior because somewhere along the line, Yamcha clearly becomes delusional about his own abilities. Therefore, see that in Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultra God Mission, Yamcha is presented as the “Strongest Martial Artist (self-proclaimed)”. Yamcha calling himself the greatest martial artist on Earth is…interesting to say the least.
