Today, August 9, the International Day of Indigenous Peoples In our country. Xbox Mexico You already have an idea of how to participate in the festivities, and they will do so with the creation of three special controls that will feature art inspired by some of the original cultures of our territory.
To do it, Xbox will collaborate with three of the 68 indigenous communities that exist within the Mexican republic. Here you can take a brief look at one of these controls.
Specifically, these controls will be based on the art of the people Huichol, together with the inhabitants of Olinalá and Tenango. The bad news is that they will not be available for sale.
“Recent events remind us of the importance of honoring and preserving indigenous peoples and cultures throughout the world, which deserve to be celebrated and occupy a priority place in social consciousness. Dan Walker, Co-Director of Indigenous at Microsoft gave us a beautiful Maori whakataukī (proverb) that recognizes the foundations we must build for our indigenous peoples to prosper ‘Mā te hururu, ka rere ai te manu’, which means’ adorn the bird with beautiful feathers to fly strong and authentically. ‘
Xbox Mexico will release the controls in full over the next few days.
