Probably one of the most requested features among the Xbox community. Microsoft has finally released one last update for your Xbox Series X / S systems and among the new functions we find the desired option to increase the interface resolution up to 4K.
After the different tests carried out in the Insiders groups, this feature is available to all users, exclusively on Xbox Series X. The company reports that they are looking for a clearer experience when navigating through the different menus of the console, which until now were maintained in 1080p. Now magnification is native to the entire screenas the art, buttons and different elements will be even more legible.
On the other hand, we also have before us the option of turn on night mode on Xbox consoles. In this way we can configure the light sources to our liking, attenuating the intensity of the monitor or TV. Not only that, but we can also vary the light emitted by the Xbox logo from the controller, as well as that of the console. In the case of Xbox Series X / S, the night mode includes a customizable blue light filter.
It is important to emphasize that these functions are specific to applications and games, without affecting the performance of the console, the screenshots or the clips we make. We can also set a schedule for night mode, which will change dynamically according to our preferences.
Finally, a step further has been taken in the area of accessibility. It will no longer be necessary to exit the game or the application to make changes in this area, since from now on the parameters can be modified from the program itself.
