Far from being restricted to the console market, Microsoft has spent years trying to expand the Xbox brand to all possible markets. The company began with the inclusion of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which was the starting signal for having exclusive Xbox games on PC, and since then, it has not stopped evolving with the arrival of xCloud.

A little less than a month ago, the news was made official that the Xbox application would soon arrive on Samsung televisions, which would allow users of said televisions to enjoy xCloud without the need for any additional device. Well, since yesterday, Xbox app for Samsung TV is now available.

The company has made it official through a post on xboxwirewhere it has been confirmed that Xbox app will be available on Samsung Smart TVs in 27 different countries. This will allow us to enjoy the Xbox Game Pass catalog through xCloud, being able to play games like Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 or even Microsoft Flight Simulator.

xCloud will add keyboard and mouse support, among other new features

For now, the devices that will have support for the Xbox app are somewhat limited, as Only Sasmung Smart TV models from 2022 will be compatible. However, if we own one of these models, there are two ways to obtain the Xbox application.

  • In some countries, it will be as easy as accessing through the Samsung Gaming Hub. Simply by browsing it, we can start the Xbox app.
  • On the other hand, we can browse the Samsung Store from Samsung Gaming Hub, search for “Xbox” and download the app.

It will be necessary to see if in the coming months the people of Samsung expand this compatibility, but despite this, the possibility of playing through our TV without any other device is fantastic news.
