Without prior notice and as an absolute surprise, Xbox today has made important announcements that are directly related to its controllers, which are tremendously popular around the world, especially the “pro” version. As a result of the above, Xbox announces a cheaper version of the Elite Series 2 controller, which comes at a much more affordable price and with all the basic features of its older brother.
Through its official page, Xbox has confirmed that its new controller called Xbox Elite Series 2 – Core is already for preorder in a large number of countries, with an official launch on September 21. It will be worth £114.99 / $129.99, and contains the essential components of the Elite Series 2 controller, albeit without some accessories, which can still be added as a ‘Complete Component Package’, worth £54.99 / $59.99.

As we can see in the video and the image, some accessories are not part of this new Xbox Elite Series 2 – Core, although paying a difference, they can be added without problems. This is what Xbox has said about it (translated) “Xbox Elite Series 2 – Core includes the essential components you need to unleash your best game. Experience adjustable tension control levers, wrap-around rubber grip, and shorter trigger locks. Enjoy unlimited customization with exclusive button mapping options in the Xbox Accessories app. Stay in the game with up to 40 hours of rechargeable battery life, and refined components that are built to last.”
Along with all of the above, it has finally been confirmed that the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is coming to the Xbox Design Lab this holiday, which means gamers will be able to customize their Elite Series 2 controller however they like, with plenty of options that we’ve already seen on traditional controllers. Without a doubt, an excellent addition that will have Xbox Series players very happy this month.
