Laptops are very practical, but they have a flaw: They are not ergonomic when used on a table. It is a problem that this spectacular design solves.

In the last year laptop sales have multiplied, for the reason we all know. A laptop is the most practical computer because you can use it anywhere, without depending on a table or an outlet.

But in the end when you have to telework, study, or use it for a long time, you end up placing it on a table. And this is where the problems begin.

A laptop is not designed to be used on a table, because the screen is glued to the keyboard. When you are sitting in the chair the screen is too low, so you have to bend the neck down. After a couple of hours of use your back, shoulders, and neck itself, they will begin to protest.

A desktop PC is much more comfortable to use because the monitor is separate from the keyboard. The screen sits much higher, at eye level, without bending the neck.

The Cubitus laptop it’s called that because it means elbow in Latin, referring to the proposed solution: use a kind of mechanical elbow to raise the screen and turn a laptop into a desktop computer.

The idea is very ingenious because it does not increase the space or thickness of the laptop. This folding arm is hidden in the lid of the computer itself, and when stretched, it raises the screen to eye level, in addition to containing the cables:

With this system you get the main advantage of a desktop computer, without any penalty. Why hasn’t anyone thought of it before?

Unfortunately, Cubitus It is a laptop that, for the moment, does not exist. It is a conceptual design of the Italian engineering agency Main Engineering.
