A Netflix-backed production, which recently bought the rights to Dahl&#8217;s entire catalog and which, according to Daily Mail reporter Baz Bamigboye, will be based on &#8216;<strong>The wonderful story of Henry Sugar<\/strong>&#8216;(The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, 1977) and Benedict Cumberbatch will play the main role.<\/p>\n<h2>Netflix&#8217;s Roald Dahl multiverse<\/h2>\n<p>Anderson will return to touch the author of children&#8217;s literature after his &#8216;The French Chronicle&#8217; and for this he has chosen the story about a player who studies meditation to acquire the ability to see through cards, and then opens a chain of orphanages with his Profits. <strong>Netflix acquired the entire Dahl catalog from Roald Dahl Story Company in September 2021<\/strong> after licensing 16 of Dahl&#8217;s best-known titles in 2018.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset article-asset-normal article-asset-center\">\n<div class=\"desvio-container\">\n<div class=\"desvio\">\n<div class=\"desvio-figure js-desvio-figure\">\n<p>     <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This original agreement opened to the company the possibility of <strong>creation of a unique universe through animated and live action movies and TV, publications<\/strong>, games, immersive experiences, live theater consumer products and others, as commented at the time and two television series by Taika Waititi &#8216;Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Oompa Loompas&#8217; are already in development &#8211; and another based on&#8217; The Twits&#8217;.
