Today we tell you <strong>how can you take a screenshot on Android TV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 1 --><\/p>\n<p>Android TV is the version of Android optimized for televisions, TV Boxes and similar devices.  Not all devices with Android TV are the same, so the way you take screenshots may vary.  To ensure success, we tell you <strong>three ways to take screenshots on Android TV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 2 --> <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-boost-container article-asset-normal\">\n<p> <span class=\"video-boost-title\">THE BEST APPS FOR YOUR SMART TV: TOP 11 APPS FOR FREE ANDROID TV<\/span>\n<\/div>\n<h2>The easy option: with the remote<\/h2>\n<p>Before installing applications, activating development modes and USB debugging, it is worth it <strong>test if universal screen capture mode on Android works<\/strong> also on your device with Android TV: press two keys at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 3 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"desvio-container\">\n<div class=\"desvio\">\n<div class=\"desvio-figure js-desvio-figure\">\n<p>    <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>To do this, press at the same time <strong>the power button and the volume down button<\/strong> on the remote control, and wait to see if the animation and sound indicating that a screenshot has been taken is displayed. Its customization potential is enormous, although the most important thing is that one of those actions can be precisely to take a screenshot.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 7 --><\/p>\n<p>You can download it directly from Google Play on TV and, the first time you open it, you must <strong>activate it as an accessibility service<\/strong>.  To do this, you need to go to the Android settings, in the accessibility section and activate the box with the name of the application.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 8 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset-image article-asset-normal\">\n<div class=\"asset-content\">\n<div class=\"base-wrapper-image\" style=\"padding-top: 57.076923076923%;\"> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sf-lazy centro_sinmarco\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/64347e\/acces\/450_1000.jpg 450w, https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/64347e\/acces\/650_1200.jpg 681w, https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/64347e\/acces\/1024_2000.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/64347e\/acces\/1366_2000.jpg 1366w\" src=\"https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/64347e\/acces\/450_1000.jpg\" alt=\"Acces\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Acces\" src=\"https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/64347e\/acces\/450_1000.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/noscript> <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Then it&#8217;s time to remap the buttons.  The application allows you to change the actions of the start button and those of volume for free, being able to configure <strong>a different action when doing a double or long press<\/strong>.  This way, you can keep the volume button working as usual for volume, but take screenshots with a long press.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 9 --><\/p>\n<p>After choosing the button you want to customize &#8211; you can also configure others, in <em>Add Buttons<\/em>-, you must choose what type of keystroke you want to configure and, finally, the action. You must again use an application such as Send Files to TV, File Commander or Easy Join Go TV to <strong>send the screenshots to your mobile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 11 --><\/p>\n<h2>The universal but complicated option: by ADB<\/h2>\n<p>If none of this has worked for you, you can always try taking an old-fashioned screenshot, <strong>connecting to TV through ADB<\/strong>.  The process, as far as possible, is not very different from connecting to your mobile using ADB.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 12 --><\/p>\n<p>You will need to <strong>activate developer options on TV<\/strong>, just like on mobile: go to settings, go to <em>Information<\/em> and press several times on <em>Build number<\/em> until a message indicates that they have been activated. Here you should <strong>enable USB Debugging<\/strong> or, if you had the option, network debugging or wireless debugging.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 14 --><\/p>\n<p>At this point, you already have the TV ready, but the other part is missing: on a PC.  You will need to install ADB and connect to the TV using the IP address that you wrote down before.  This is the command you should use, changing <code>la_ip<\/code> by IP address.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 15 --><\/p>\n<p><code>adb connect <em>la_ip<\/em>:5555<\/code><\/p>\n<p>If everything has gone well, you can take screenshots at your leisure from the other device, without having to make complicated button presses.  To do this, you must use <strong>the following command<\/strong>, indicating each time a different name for the file, or else it will be overwritten (we have called it <em>capture.png<\/em>, but it can be any name).<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 16 --><\/p>\n<p><code>adb shell screencap -p \/sdcard\/captura.png<\/code><\/p>\n<p>The advantage of using ADB is that you can complete the entire process with commands, without having to send yourself or access the captures with other applications.  In this way, you can use <code>ADB pull<\/code> for <strong>send you the screenshot you just made to the PC<\/strong>, with the following command:<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 17 --><\/p>\n<p><code>adb pull \/sdcard\/captura.png \/captura.png<\/code><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset-image article-asset-large\">\n<div class=\"asset-content\">\n<div class=\"base-wrapper-image\" style=\"padding-top: 27.8%;\"> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sf-lazy centro_sinmarco\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/857720\/capturass\/450_1000.jpg 450w, https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/857720\/capturass\/650_1200.jpg 681w, https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/857720\/capturass\/1024_2000.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/857720\/capturass\/1366_2000.jpg 1366w\" src=\"https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/857720\/capturass\/450_1000.jpg\" alt=\"Captures\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Captures\" src=\"https:\/\/i.blogs.es\/857720\/capturass\/450_1000.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/noscript> <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It is not the most comfortable way to take screenshots, but connecting to the device via ADB allows you to do everything remotely, without touching the remote control, which has its advantages.
