Konnichiwa! Japanese Film and Animation Distributorin association with Aniplex of Americaannounced that Mexico City will be part of the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour” with an event scheduled for March 4, 2023.
This is the franchise’s first World Tour commemorating the release of the third season of the anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc. There will be events in only 7 cities around the world: Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, Seoul, Taipei and Mexico City. It is also the first time that a celebration of this category will take place in Latin America.

In a press release, Konnichiwa announced that as part of the “Demon Slayer World Tour” it will screen Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village-. This is a special cut that combines the last two episodes of the Red Light District Arc and the first hour-long episode of the new season. To make it a unique experience on the big screen, the footage has been upscaled to 4K resolution and the music has been completely remixed.
Aniplex, for its part, mentioned in another statement (via) that Natsuki Hanae, the voice actor who plays Tanjiro Kamado, would be the luxury guest for Mexico City. More information about “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour” will be revealed soon.
On an additional note, Aniplex also announced that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- It will reach movie theaters in 80 countries internationally. The full list of territories and release dates will be announced at a later date. We will keep you up to date with all the news.
