Williem Dafoe has an idea to play the Joker on the big screen, which also includes the participation of Joaquin Phoenix in his role as Arthur Fleck
One of the actors who could play the Joker in the Batman plot in 1988 was Williem Dafoe, who has an idea to play the clown prince of crime, which includes the most recent interpreter of the DC villain, Joaquin Phoenix.

In an interview with the British magazine GQ, Williem Dafoe pointed out that he does not rule out making a film alongside Joaquin Phoenix, where they both play the role of Joker.
“There’s something interesting about, like, there’s a Joker impostor… So it would be possible to not have two Jokers dueling, but someone claiming to be the Joker, who isn’t the Joker.”
In that idea, according to Dafoe, it would give entrance for both actors to share the stage, both as Joker
“And that opens up the possibility of an interesting story, particularly if you have Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, and then he had someone who was mimicking or mimicking what he was doing.”
Although it is an interesting idea, Dafoe hopes that a director will take this idea into account to crystallize it on the big screen.
“I fantasized about it. But other than that, I’m not going to talk to anyone. [al respecto], you are the first”
Williem Dafoe’s idea does exist!
The plot suggested by Dafoe resembles the plot of the story written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by Jim Aparo, which appeared in Batman #450 and #451 (both July 1990) where Joker returns after crippling Barbara Gordon and murdered Jason Todd
A banker named Curtis Base organizes an event to announce a series of investments in his bank, when robbers commanded by the Joker arrive.
James Gordon berates the Joker for what he did to Barbara, but this version of the Joker does not know Gordon and does not remember the events of The Killing Joke.
What Gordon and Batman don’t know is that Curtis Base is taking the place of the Joker, who starts a crime spree that draws the attention of the police and the media.
Given this, the real Joker, who is recovering from the helicopter accident that we saw in A Death in the Family, takes note of what his imitator does, this to return to Gotham and claim his place as the true clown prince of crime.
In the final confrontation between the two Jokers, which takes place in Ace Chemicals, Curtis Base falls into the acids that made the Joker what he is, but his power is different and Base dies in the chemical tank.
And of course the most recent story where there are more than two jokers on the scene is Three Jokers, which SMASH and DC Comics Mexico have for you.
