Later, through a video published on social networks, the President welcomed the interest of Ricardo Salinas Pliego and Javier Garza Calderón in buying Banamex; and mentioned Carlos Slim and Carlos Hank as possible buyers. He also mentioned that “Mexicanizing” Banamex would leave “billions of pesos that would enter the public treasury” for the development of the country.
Regarding AMLO’s statement, Ricardo Salinas declared the following through a tweet: “We are seeing how they leave us the changarrito and take advantage of the free time to evaluate the purchase well, will it be convenient?”
Javier Garza Calderón calls for the formation of a trust to acquire Banamex
