Will Smith He is currently in the middle of a promotional campaign for ‘King Richard’, a film for which he is already sounding for the next awards season. That means giving a multitude of interviews, such as a very particular one that he has given to GQ in which he has answered questions from anonymous people made on Twitter, Instagram, Quora, Wikipedia, Reddit, YouTube and TikTok.
Among them stands out one in which the famous actor had to choose which one is your favorite movie you have participated in and also which one you like the least. In the latter he did not seem to have it entirely clear, but he ended up mentioning ‘Wild Wild West’:
I don’t know, ‘Wild Wild West’ is a thorn in the side. Seeing myself in chaps … I don’t like it.
“Wild Wild West” wasn’t just a huge box office flop, it was also the movie Smith chose to make over “The Matrix.” And is that they offered him the role of Neo, but he rejected the proposal. Yet another reason not to have much affection for the film directed by Barry sonnenfeld.
A tie for the best
What I did have a lot more clear is what they are the two favorite films of his filmography: “On the best, I think it is a tie between the first ‘Men in Black’ and ‘In pursuit of happiness’. For different reasons, those are two near-perfect movies.“.
It is not difficult to understand why you have chosen both. ‘Men in Black’ confirmed him a great Hollywood star after the success of ‘Independence Day’ and was the beginning of a lucrative franchise, while with ‘In pursuit of happiness’ he got his second – and for now last – nomination for the Oscar. He had previously been a candidate for ‘Ali’.
