PlayStation Studios has begun to accommodate itself by releasing hitherto exclusive PS4 games on PC. After Horizon: Zero Dawn, Days Gone or Death Stranding, the 2018 title God of War came to PC just a few days ago while PlayStation players await the new installment of the saga starring Kratos. However, with the future release of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PS5 with a future release for PC, many players are wondering if God of War: Ragnarok will end up coming to computers too, although it would be at a later date than the launch date for PS4 and PS5. Its developer Santa Monica has wanted to go into details now.
After the success that God of War has initiated on PC, the magazine Game Informer has been in charge of asking about the release of God of War: Ragnarok for PC to the creative director of the original game, Cory Barlog, who says that nothing has been decided at this time. “I have no idea”, advances Barlog. “Right now, we’re trying one game at a time, looking at each one and determining, ‘Okay, is this the best?’ And we will evaluate how it works. Do people enjoy it? We did it well? Is there something we did wrong? What can we do better in the future if we do this again? But at the end of the day, ultimately it’s up to Sony”.
It was Barlog himself who revealed that it was the team effort made by the PlayStation studios that pushed Sony to launch their games for PC. The studios suggested doing this for a while and they finally succeeded and considering that Jetpack Interactive, developer who was in charge of the port of God of War for PC, also working now on God of War: RagnarokHowever, it seems that there is a possibility that they are already working on bringing the game to PC, although Sony will prefer the game to be exclusive to PS4 and PS5 for a certain time.
