The sansevieralso known as mother-in-law’s tongue or dracaena, is one of the plants that we have most often in houses because it is super easy to care for and very durable. It does not need practically anything, only that we place it in a warm place, that is to say in inside if we live in a cold place and near a window because it likes to receive a lot of light. It does not need much watering or much fertilizer and although we forget about it for weeks with light, this will not be a big problem. On Amazon, we found one 35 cm high, with a 12 cm pot, for 15.49 euros.

However, it is true that sometimes sanseviera leaves do strange things, particularly when its leaves bend or fall off the plant is wanting to tell us something and it is usually that need water. It can be a bit confusing, because in most plants, when the leaves look withered, bent or fallen, it is usually the opposite, due to excess water, but in sanseviera, if there is excess water, the leaves usually twist on themselves by growing instead of bending down. The one in the photo above these lines, 50 cm high and in a 14 cm pot, costs 39.94 euros.

Naturally, although the sanseviera does not need a lot of water, we must increase the frequency of irrigation in hot seasons. In general, it is not watered until the substrate looks completely dry and always trying to avoid puddles, but if we see that the leaves of the plant look droopy, it is an unequivocal sign that water must be added. Sometimes it will also be necessary to change to a larger pot, if you plan transplant it is best to do it in early spring. The one in the photo on these lines with an approximate height of 30 cm is worth 19.95 euros. In short, to prevent the leaves of your sanseviera from bending or falling, you need a suitable pot and good irrigation planning.
