If you noticed that some pimples came out of the baby, relax! Here we tell you what the causes are.
It is common to believe that babies should have smooth and soft skin at birth, however, as their dermis has not yet matured enough it is more delicate and prone to pimples than we think.
In general, baby’s pimples do not have to alarm you except in some cases such as: if you detect lumps under the skin at the level of the middle of the skull or face, or above the spine; also granites with wounds, that bleed or are infected, and those that do not disappear in a few days or weeks and that are accompanied by other new lesions. In this type of situation, it is best to take the baby to the pediatrician for a diagnosis and to determine the appropriate treatment.
However, in most newborns these granites are completely benign and disappear in a few weeks, spontaneously.
There are three types: pimples caused by acne, pimples caused by sweat and toxic erythema which is a benign rash. The best thing in these cases is to have good hygiene, hydrate the area with hypoallergenic moisturizing cream without fragrance and avoid? Pinching? pimples, as you could hurt the baby.
There are other types of virus or bacteria-related disorders, such as chickenpox, measles, and other blisters, such as neonatal herpes or impetigo. If you notice any of them, go to your doctor immediately.
