A toy leak reveals plot details for the animated series What If …? (spoilers notice)
Images have been revealed of the action figure of Hasbro of the Hydra Stomper, the armor resembling the first version of Iron Man’s Mark I that Steve Rogers will don in a universe where Peggy Carter takes the Super Soldier serum, and plot details are revealed from that chapter of What? would happen if …?
This August premieres on Disney +, What would happen if…? Marvel studios first animated series, where we will enter the multiverse again and where we will see Captain Carter, a variant of Peggy Carter who took the Super Soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers. However, something we’ve all been wondering about is what exactly led to that happening in that alternate reality that both heroes come from.
Thanks to the action figure of Marvel legends Based on the HYDRA Stomper armor that Steve will wear in the series, we may have an answer. “In the universe, you already know that Steve Rogers was the first avenger, Captain America”, it reads in an official description. “In this universe, Steve is injured and fights in the ‘HYDRA Stomper’, an Iron Man armor created by Howard Stark”.
Steve clearly suffers from some kind of injury that prevents him from taking the Super Soldier Serum, and that’s why Peggy takes his place. Looking at this promo art, it definitely looks like the HYDRA Stomper is powered by the tesseract or a similar power source.
