One of the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who has gained prominence since her debut in 2015 is Wanda Maximoff, who will return to the scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, now as Scarlet Witch, who returned to her Sokovian accent.

Wanda Maximoff first appeared in a brief cameo in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but her story was first revealed in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where she joins the team after fighting them in Africa.
Maximoff’s exploits carried over into Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, where the Sokovian accent softened, though it didn’t lose everything.
“The Russos (Anthony and Joe Russo, directors of Infinity War and Endgame) said, ‘(Wanda) Can she have a softer accent, because she’s been to America and she has to have been speaking more English? ‘ So I said, ‘Sure.’” While that makes sense for the character”, declared Olsen in an interview for Rolling Stone.
The return of the blip and the Multiverse of Madness
This changes in WandaVision, where in the first seven episodes Wanda speaks fluent American English, without a marked Sokovian accent, except for the fifth episode, when she warns the SWORD agents not to intervene in Westview.
“The sitcom part was totally different, because he’s trying to hold on to an American sitcom world and play the part to the best of his ability.”.
Towards the end of WandaVision, Maxinoff not only adopts the Scarlet Witch mantle, but also reverts to a Sokovian accent, which is highlighted in the latest trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Elizabeth Olsen herself explained that Wanda Maximoff’s accent returned in this new Marvel Studios production.
“After the experience he has in WandaVision, he has an accent that is faithful to him again”.
The return of Scarlet Witch’s Sokovian accent is accompanied by the management of Wanda Maximoff’s emotions, since being in her illusion in Westview, where everything was joy, the member of the Avengers hid her accent, which is manifested by being annoying.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 5, 2022.
