WhatsApp is developing a feature that allows you to silence calls from unknown phone numbers through the application, a feature intended to prevent unwanted calls and that has been seen in the latest beta for Android.

The company has been working on new features focused on privacy for months, which have been added to those already existing in this section, available in the Profile Settings menu.
So that users can decide who they want to receive phone calls from, WhatsApp is developing a tool called ‘Silence unknown calls’, as WABetaInfo has recently warned in the latest beta version for Android.
This is an optional feature that can be turned on or off based on users’ needs and specifies that incoming calls will be muted, though they will show up in the app’s call list with a notification.
WABetaInfo has also found another novelty in version 2.23.5.11 of WhatsApp for Android, a new notification that alerts users to the possibility of sharing files up to 2 GB in size through chats.
The company already extended the file limit in May of last year, although it has not been until now when it has introduced a ‘banner’ at the top of the interface indicating this. This appears when you attach a document.
