WhatsApp is the messaging app with the most users, with two billion accounts in the world.
Meta’s platform already delivers one hundred billion messages a day.
There are only 25 countries in the world where WhatsApp is not the most used messaging app.
Instant messaging platforms have increased their users in recent years, especially WhatsApp, so its updates to functions and tools improve the experience of these people. Recently, it was revealed that Meta’s social network will allow you to save states with a new section.
Communication is one of the main uses that people make of instant messaging platforms or social networks. Given this, we must define that these are a text-based communication program, where two people engage in a conversation through devices connected to the Internet, such as computers, cell phones, and tablets.
With the pandemic, these platforms gained more fame, which is why one of the most popular is WhatsApp, which according to reports registers more than two million users worldwide.
Among the other sites that provide these services are WeChat, which now has 1.2 billion users, and Facebook Messenger, which is the second most popular app in the world, with some 1 billion accounts.
In Mexico, the platform of goal records more than 78 million users, according to figures from the MX Internet Association.
What’s new in WhatsApp in its business version
As part of its changes to improve the experience of its users, the business version of WhatsApp will allow statuses to be saved for a maximum time of 30 days in a space called “State File”.
According to the platform, this new tool works similar to that of an Instagram feature, although in the case of the social network, saved stories can remain in the records for several years and can even be shared again as memories.
The function that the Meta platform enabled in its business version seeks to ensure that the companies that use it will not have to rewrite the description of a status or search for the photograph they wish to disseminate, since they will only have to search for it in the Archive to share it.
They also explain that to access this section, users have to download the latest trial version of WhatsApp and click the States tab. Next, at the top of the screen, you will see a message describing the new function along with an option called “File Settings”.
This option will be at the bottom, a pop-up window will appear where the option to automatically save the publications of the States in the Archive will be given.
According to Meta, the function is in a limited testing phase, but more users will be accessing the file in the coming months.
Meta’s messaging platform has stood out in recent weeks for its new functions for its users, joining other social networks that are applying the same strategy.
An example is the social network for dating Bumble, which joined forces with Spotify offering a new tool so that users can show the artists they like the most and thus others have a better idea of their personality and improve their chances of meeting to another.
And this is how updates are a recurring way for digital platforms to retain their users to these spaces, which are used daily by millions around the world.
