WhatsApp has a new feature ready for its billions of global users, who will now be able to send temporary messages.
The user himself will decide how long his messages will last, from 24 hours to seven days and even 90 days, as confirmed by the company.
This new function is already available and can only be used with new messages, not with those that are already registered in a chat.
I had already announced it a while ago, but it is until today that WhatsApp finally reveals its new function to share temporary messages.
In the wide universe of social networks, WhatsApp has a privileged place, positioning itself as the leading instant messaging platform on the market with more than two billion registered users so far.
However, we know that, in a scenario where competition is increasingly important, social networks need to be updated in order to reach a greater number of users, a much larger audience and, of course, remain current.
Since it was launched in 2009, WhatsApp has gradually won over users to the point that it is currently the most widely used instant messaging service in the world.
In 2020, the year of the pandemic, the social network owned by Meta (formerly Facebook) reached two billion users worldwide. This means that of the approximately 7.8 billion inhabitants of the planet, more than 2 billion use the messaging service WhatsApp At least once a month.
WhatsApp arrives with a new function of temporary messages
WhatsApp recently launched a new feature that will allow users to make backup copies of their chats and save them anywhere, be it Google Drive, a USB memory, or any other.
It is, without a doubt, a highly useful tool for users, above all because it will allow them to have better control and, above all, save documents that may be important in the future.
This function correlates with the one recently launched with which Internet users can already upload files weighing up to 2 GB.
Now, following the line of updates, the platform owned by Meta has a new function ready that allows users to send temporary messages.
In this way, when the user sends a message, they will decide if it will last 24 hours, 7 days or even 90 days. It should be noted that this function will only be valid for new messages, but not for those that have been registered in the chat for several days.
Telegram responds with its Premium launch
Just a few days ago, Telegram, the second on board in the instant messaging application market, confirmed that its paid or premium version will be released this month.
The news was confirmed by himself. CEO and founder of TelegramPavel Durov, through his an official statement:
“The only way to let our most demanding fans get more while keeping our existing features free is to make those high limits a paid option.”Durov mentioned.
So far, according to data from the report Social Networks 2021 developed by We Are Social and published in October last year, it is known that Telegram has just over 550 million monthly active users worldwide.
