There are days when the body asks sit in front of the sofa, have something simple but very tasty for dinner and immerse yourself in that series that has us hooked, disconnect with some silly comedy or recover that movie that escaped us on its movie day. If the week has left us exhausted, it is a perfect plan for the weekend, and we do not always have to resort to ordering food at home.
In our proposal for dinner today we leave aside other Friday dinner classics, such as pizza, hamburger or Mexican food, to throw away for the patriotic: the infallible sandwich. And one of the classics that never fail is the veal nugget, as simple and easy as it is versatile and tasty.
Theories about its origin aside, the pepito lends itself to many interpretations and variants, the simplest version being simply a veal fillet sandwich. With bread that is at least decent, and good quality meat -it is not necessary to use an old cow entrecote either-, in a few minutes we will have a luxurious dinner to eat with our hands directly on the sofa.
If we want to complicate a little more, we can add some fried green peppers and caramelized onion, ingredients also typical of the pepito. And, although it is not so traditional, it would not go amiss to take advantage of leftover roasted bell pepper or some piquillo peppers, some cheese that melts well, bacon or a base of lettuce or green sprouts.
