Naruto is one of the most popular anime and manga series within the Industry, and it is not for less, since it has presented us with amazing adventures of the ninja world and the village of Konoha, continuing the story in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, so today we will go into one of the points that makes Boruto hate his father.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that Boruto has often been criticized as a complainer, a character who is only there to be hated, but an act of Naruto may be the justification for the way of being the son of the Hokage. It is worth mentioning that this article will contain spoilers, but they will serve to better understand Boruto as a character in relation to Naruto.
When Boruto first debuted in the latest chapter of Naruto and would later become a leading character in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, no one could have predicted that he would become the new main character in the saga.

This created a bit of conflict, implying at the time that Boruto would just be a copy of the already known formula, however the problem is that this would leave any potential storyline focusing on him as a repeat of what happened in Naruto. To resolve this, series creator Masashi Kishimoto performed a scene that gives Boruto reasons to distance himself from his father figure and exemplifies his problems as Hokage for his father.
As we well know, this scene includes a couple of years after the end of the great ninja war, Naruto married Hinata, had two children, Boruto and his younger sister Himawari, and became the Seventh Hokage, achieving his much heralded sleep. Though Boruto is a ninja like his parents before him, he bristles at any mention that he might succeed Naruto as Hokage.
It is not an idea that pleases him, but why? Tensions rise when Boruto and his squad meet up with Naruto, where the young ninja is cold towards his father and insists that the Seventh Hokage cannot miss Himawari’s birthday. Later, fans see why Boruto has such a grudge.
When Naruto brings a birthday cake for his daughter, he suddenly disappears and the cake falls to the ground. The Naruto that was with his family had been a shadow clone all along. To make matters worse, there is a strong implication that Naruto has missed most of Himawari’s birthdays.
