Within Humankind it is very important that you pay great attention to the cities you build, since these will be the main core of your civilization and those that will provide you with all the benefits and resources necessary to win the game, we explain it to you in the guide on how to build a city from scratch in Humankind.
Without going any further, stability is a statistic with great importance Within this strategy game, what will make your population vary their desire to work or be more or less happy, in the end is the most important thing. If you want to know more about it, pay attention because this guide will interest you.
What is stability
As we mentioned before, stability is a statistic that will make your population wants to work or not and stay united, which will make it more or less unified. In other words, it is the degree of support that your cities provide to your government. Stability is measured from 0 to 100 in percent and it is important to maintain it regularly high to put benefit from it. We explain the different stages and how they can affect your city:
- 0% and less: the city rebels against you, armies will appear and, if they take your city, it will be separated from your empire and will no longer belong to you.
- 0-30%: Building in this city will not be possible, but you will be able to make districts and some infrastructures that add stability, so start there and then move on to other infrastructures that were not previously possible.
- 30-90%: stability is neutral, which you can use the city for whatever is necessary, but it begins to be aware of raising this statistic, evaluating the whole situation.
- 90-100%: It is a good percentage of stability, in addition to the fact that positive events are more likely to appear and your citizens are at a good level of happiness.
- + 100%: Although 100% is the stability cap, you can have more as a kind of bufo, but the city will continue to show 100% and you will not have more additional benefit.
Events that give stability
The cities they are not static elements within the game, in fact, they occasionally receive events that allow you to make certain decisions. Some of these events are positive, while there are also others that are negative and, of course, everything will be linked to the stability of the city. The less stable the cities are, the more chances that these negative events will appear and the opposite will also happen, if you have good stability you will also have more possibilities of positive events. However, as much as have 100% stabilityDo not trust yourself, since negative events can also happen.
What affects stability?
Stability it does not reduce itself, but it will be linked to some actions you do in your city. For example, most districts you build will typically penalize you in 10% stability, so the more your city grows, the less stable it will become. We tell you better in the guide on how to increase the capacity limit of cities.
On the other hand, some districts and infrastructures They allow you to improve stability as is the “Garrison” district that allows you to create units. These units will be available in the main square of your city and will have an effect + 5% stability per unit, so we advise you to improve some infrastructure of this style. Events, as we told you before, have a significant influence on stability, since they can improve it by 20% or worsen it by 50%.
Finally, some cultures also have a temporary stability boost when you build certain districts. For example, the Egyptians have a temporary 10% increase in stability which temporarily offsets the -10% downside when you build a manufacturers’ quarter.
How to deal with stability: create the best strategy
Obviously, the most appropriate thing is that you maintain a stability higher than 90%, if possible 100% would be perfect. However, there are unpredictable events that will dictate your strategy and cause you to have to make decisions as quickly as possible, such as quickly building a unit to defend your city that is going to be attacked. At the beginning of the game, you don’t have many options to deal with stability, so you have to be careful in the construction of certain districts.
On the other hand, it is also best to build your best strategy and create districts as you see fit and if stability begins to decline, invest in order of priority in new units, stability infrastructures, common neighborhoods and finally in garrisons.
