Although the film received terrible reviews and ratings, it became a classic. Recently, Kyle McLachlan spoke about the new version of the story that hit theaters around the world. “I am very excited for the new Dune film introducing the Frank Herbert novel to a new generation and seeing Timothée Chalamet ‘walking without a beat’ and becoming Muad’dib”wrote the actor, who shared on social networks a photograph of the Funko of his character along with the new protagonist of the story.
In a talk he gave in 2021 for Comicbook, the actor revealed that before starring in the David Lynch version, he was already a huge fan of Dune and the work that author Frank Herbert had done. Although he is a fan of the saga, the interpreter assured that the first installment is his favorite, since it is part of the books to which he constantly returns. Regarding the Denis Villeneuve film, it features Timothée Chalamet at the head of the cast and incredible performances by Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem and Stellan Skarsgard.
