We started the meal with roasted chicken croquettes, which arrive still crispy on the outside. They are good, along the lines of all the croquettes from La Gran Familia Mediterránea which are one of the best to order at home.
We continue with the chicken wings, glazed with a barbecue sauce of miso, honey and a touch of chives. As a fan of wings, I cannot recommend ordering these: the glaze is too aggressive and the cooking, by force, takes a long time, as the wings are very dry. Better the croquettes.

Sandwich or puppy?
Let’s go now for the main courses. We first tried the bocata bull, a cheek sandwich, with Dani García’s Bull sauce and harvarti cheese. Once again, this is a bite that would be much more appreciated freshly made. The cheek is tasty, but it has softened the bread completely and the thing loses its grace. The same goes for the French fries, which accompany both the sandwich and the dog.
Much better is the puppy, which is undoubtedly the main one that we encourage you to order. The chop hot dog is curious, because does not have a sausage textureIf not more like a burger and the side, again Bull sauce, plus crunchy bacon and straw potatoes, it works. Very rich.

There is always room for dessert
Ibai’s menu also includes a dessert, baptized as Ibaiyaki, although it has nothing to do with Japanese dorayaki. It is about pancakes with dulce de leche that are recommended to be heated for 30 seconds in the microwave. It is a dessert with enough sugar to cloy the most painted, but it is difficult to resist. As a fan of dulce de leche I can only give it a notable high. Of course, better ask for it to share.
