Succession, one of the most acclaimed series of recent years, is preparing to premiere its fourth season. Although during 2022 we did not have the fortune to enjoy —or suffer?— its new episodes, everything will change next year. HBO Max just confirm that season 4 will be available during spring 2023. At the moment, yes, they have not revealed the specific date, but it is already excellent news to know that the wait will not last too long.
Taking advantage of the important announcement, the platform also shared a brief preview of the fourth season of Succession. In it we can see that the sides for control of Waystar Royco are now better defined. Kendall, Siobhan, Roman and Connor will join forces against their father, Logan Roy, who surprised them with a masterful move during last season’s finale.
Let us remember that, in the previous episodes of Succession, Logan’s children planned to take advantage of their majority stake in Waystar to stop the sale of it. However, Shiv told the situation to Tom, her husband, who in turn decided to betray her and tell Logan everything. With time on his side, the latter had the opportunity to plan a strategy that would paralyze the intentions of his descendants.
To launch his forceful plan, Logan involved his ex-wife, Caroline, who also betrayed her children by revoking a clause that ensured their participation in the company. In the end, Kendall, Siobhan, Roman and Connor not only won’t be able to stop Waystar’s sale, but they’ve also been left without an inheritance. The fourth season of Successionthen it will show a war without quarter within the Roy family.
Regarding the new chapters of Succession, Matthew Macfadyen, the actor responsible for playing Tom, said that the “story is very well prepared”. For his position, his character will once again have a fundamental role. “One could argue that Tom has suffered at the hands of his brother-in-law and his wife. I’m afraid to reveal spoilers, but the story is very well prepared,” he commented.
For his part, Brian Cox (Logan Roy), hinted that Succession is not far from reaching its grand finale. In fact, from his words we can guess that the fifth season will be the last: “No one has renewed their contracts [para la temporada 5]. Who knows how long it will go on? We do not want you to stay longer than expected, as billions; that series reached its expiration date. The same will not happen with our series.”
