Call of Duty: Warzone has just announced the main details of its upcoming mid-season update. Call of Duty: Warzone fans are familiar with these major “Reloaded” updates that occur each season and typically introduce a lot of new content in the form of new maps, modes, mechanics, and loot.
Call of Duty: Warzone has been shaking up the battle royale genre since its launch in 2020, sporting a free-to-play model and backed by all the first-person shooter expertise from veteran studios Infinity Ward and Raven Software. With up to 150 and occasionally 200 players looting and shooting across its sprawling maps, Call of Duty: Warzone is loved by fans for its chaotic gameplay.
As part of the series of Warzone mid-season updatesthe ‘Classified Arms Reloaded’ update promises to make the rest of the third season much more interesting, not least because of its new underground transit system that allows fast travel between various points of interest throughout Caldera.
Marked with “vault door” symbols on the tactical map, 14 transit system access points can be found around the map. Each of them leads to a central room where players can head to their preferred destination. Audio and visual clues can help determine if danger is on the other side, so mastering this system will be a key to success as other players use the transit system for fast travel or to set up an ambush.
Along with the transit system, many other additions are coming with Classified Arms Reloaded. Champion of Caldera’s new Battle Royale mode features a single continuous closing circle. In this mode, kills instantly replenish health, gear, and ammo, encouraging aggressive playstyles to maximize chances of survival, while also offering great opportunities for easy weapon leveling.
The mid-season update is expected to go live on May 25, so Warzone players have a few days to prepare their strategies for the upcoming additions. It’s certainly an exciting time for Warzone fans, especially as more details about Warzone 2 are revealed.
