Disney Plus will be enriched with many new contents in the coming months, but today, January 15th, one of the many promises with which Disney has pushed its streaming service to the beginning arrives in the catalog. We are obviously talking about WandaVision, the new TV series belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe which stars Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in a very particular story.
A rather brave TV series for several reasons. From the first trailers, it was noted that the story told was not a classic action plot steeped in fights between superheroes, spectacular choreography and other clichés typical of “super dudes in tights”.
No, Wanda and Visione in this particular cross-section of their life as a couple, lead what appears to be a quiet suburban life. A perfect house, a friendly neighborhood (even if too intrusive), a normal life, nothing to do with the routine that distinguishes their normal existence. However, the two begin to understand that not everything is what it seems. It will be curious to understand where the story wants to go, and how it will make a superhero story told in such a particular way credible and above all enjoyable, with continuous changes of reality and a state of confusion that pervades both the protagonists and the plot itself.
And to tell the truth what really intrigues is also understanding where the story of the two is placed at a temporal level, also considering the end that goes Vision in Avengers: Infinity War. Or maybe we should ask ourselves: what narrative universe are we in? In fact, a series dedicated to Loki will soon arrive, a series that will focus on an alternative version of Loki who managed to escape (due to Tony Stark) from the clutches of SHIELD immediately after the Battle of New York.
In short, there are plenty of curiosities to satisfy. The hope is that WandaVision will help breathe new life into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given the blow that Avengers Endgame has inflicted on the backbone of the superhero group and also seen all the postponements due to COVID. For the moment on Disney +, you can enjoy the first two episodes of WandaVision. As well as The Mandalorian, in fact, the first Marvel TV series will also air on a weekly basis.
We take this opportunity to remind you that at the time the subscription is a cost you 6.99 € per month or alternatively 69.99 € per year. From 23 February 2021, however, there will be an increase of € 2 per month (or € 20 per year), with the inclusion in the catalog, however, of the Star service, including a whole series of additional contents dedicated to a more “adult” audience.
