Social networks have been characterized as a communication tool for many people, especially for consumers. It is the case of a consumer who sued Walmart for its false promotions after buying alcohol for his wedding and this brand failed him by not delivering his complete products due to lack of stock.
According to a report by We Are Social and Hootsuite, it revealed that there are currently 4.62 billion network users worldwide, which represents a year-on-year growth of more than 10 percent.
Also, the report highlights that the number of users of social networks is now equivalent to more than 58 percent of the total population of the world.
Walmart loses consumer for not fulfilling promotions
An Internet user identified as @rodrigomc86 shared his complaint on Twitter after buying several bottles of liquor at Walmart and Walmart does not send you its complete products.
The consumer narrated that he took the opportunity to buy the bottles of liquor for his wedding with the firm’s promotions, but when he received them the products arrived incomplete for what he described the brand as “liars” for “false” promotions.
Amazing @walmart_express @WalmartMexico yesterday I bought the alcohol for my wedding in your promotion and today I get that they only give me 6 out of 42 bottles of Chivas, 18 out of 30 bottles of Licor 43 and not a single bottle of gin or vodka!! @Profeco They take out a promotion that they do not fulfill. pic.twitter.com/R4b8QanyPw

Likewise, the consumer shared the invoice for the products he purchased and mentioned the ones he did not receive. As he also took the opportunity to report his case to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco).
The publication received other comments from various consumers who also complained of similar cases where the brand does not send them the products they buy or on other occasions cancels the purchase.
These complaints are not new against Walmart where recently another consumer also denounced that the firm canceled his online purchase after realizing that they were wrong in the publication prices.
But bad shopping experiences have also occurred among clients of Bodega Aurrerá, who display the brand for the poor organization in their stores and that thanks to that the products are mislabelled.
This only reflects the opinion of the consumer and the conversation that it generates in the digital pulse, for which Merca 2.0 requested the position of the brand in order to tell both sides of the story; however, so far it has not been received. The note will be updated in case of a response.
