The wait is over. A few months after its premiere and after several controversies, it seems that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever it’s finally taking shape. Here we present all the details and the trailer of Black Panther 2which aims to be one of the most emotional and impressive productions we have seen in a long time.
Synopsis
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from the world powers that intervene after the death of King T’Challa. As the people of Wakanda struggle to embark on a new chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of Nakia and Everet Ross to forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. However, Namor, the king of a hidden underwater nation, has plans of his own for Wakanda.
Cast and production crew
Before the death of Chadwick Boseman, Letitia Wright (Shuri) assumes the leading role of this film. Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman and Angela Basset, who stars in one of the most emotional moments in the trailer, return with her.
New faces include Mexican Tenoch Huerta as the imposing Namor, Mabel Cadena as his cousin Namora, Michaela Coel as Aneka, and Dominique Thorne as Ironheart, who creates a suit of armor capable of rivaling Iron Man’s.
Without a doubt, Boseman’s absence not only had an impact on the story, but also on his castmates. Danai Gurira (Okoye) spoke at Comic-Con about how hard it was to work without her beloved partner (via):
“It was very difficult. We never knew how and when the pain was going to hit us. Sometimes it would happen to us on the way to the set and we would listen to Ryan (Coogler, the director), other times it would just hit us. But Dominique (Thorne) and Michaela (Coel) were very helpful. I once had a very difficult day on set and they were there for me. But you never knew when that difficult day was going to be. They, our new family, were incredible and understood that they were in a place where there was pain, they held us all.
Director Ryan Coogler returns to take charge of this film after succeeding big with its predecessor. Much of the technical team returns in this sequel, including composer Ludwig Göransson and costume designer Ruth E. Carter. Both won the Oscar for their work in the first installment. Will they be able to repeat the feat?
What can we expect from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
With an absent protagonist, it is clear that many are wondering how Chadwick Boseman’s absence will be justified. Thanks to the official synopsis we know that the character will apparently die off screen. The cause of death still remains secret. Another aspect to be resolved is who will take the costume of the iconic hero. What are your bets?
It is worth mentioning in addition to the sequel it will be one of the longest films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2 hours and 41 minutes.
On the other hand, many wait to see how much Namor’s origins change, since it has been said that the version played by Tenoch Huerta will not be a descendant of Atlantis (as in the comics), but of an underwater city highly influenced by Mesoamerican cultures. Will they be able to satisfy the fans with these changes?
When it premieres Black Panther 2?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever It will hit theaters in Mexico on November 10, 2022 and will mark the closure of phase 4 of the MCU. Do you think it’s a good tribute to the memory of Chadwick Boseman? Or better yet: Will it make history with an Oscar nomination for Best Picture just like its predecessor?

John Joseph Cruz I am one of those who always defended Robert Pattinson as Batman and can see the same movie in the cinema up to 7 times. My guilty pleasure? Low budget horror movies.
