The new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is emerging as the second fully electric model launched by the brand in less than a year and the first available exclusively with this mechanism. In addition to this, it is the first completely leather-free vehicle, reinforcing Volvo’s commitment to sustainability, to adhere to the trends and demands of modern consumers, with a strong sense of community and social responsibility.
In the technical field, it is supported by two engines that together generate 408hp, the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric allows the consumer to accelerate from 0-100km/hr in just 4.7 seconds, and has a range of autonomy of up to 444 kilometers, useful both for urban journeys and for long distances, this is thanks to its 78kWh battery, which guarantees a life time of 8 years or 160 thousand km, whichever comes first, from the date of delivery.
Regarding the recharging time, with direct current and in a 150 kW charging station, it can be charged from 0% to 80% in 40 minutes, while with alternating current, the charge is given from 0% to 80% in a time of 6 to 8 hours.

Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is available in seven colors, highlighting its new color Fjord Blue Metallic, It is also the second model of the brand that has integrated Google systems, such as Google Play, Google Maps and Google Assistant.which through voice commands (“Ok, Google”), can perform functions such as regulating the temperature of the cabin, setting a destination, playing music, or sending text messages, among others.
Other equipment features to highlight are the Harman Kardon Premium sound system, the ability to drive with a single pedal, 360 ° camera, Pilot Assist driver assistance, the panoramic roof and the wireless charger.
For Mexico, it is estimated that 30% of the total sales obtained during 2022 will be the product of the current offer of electric and electrified models
It is important to note that Volvo is positioned as the first premium company to update its portfolio to offer electric versions for all its models, in addition to being the first to commit globally to reduce its carbon footprint by 40%. To achieve this, work is being done to reduce carbon emissions in the supply chain by 25% and in vehicle manufacturing operations by 25%.
