One of the big fears before Deadpool’s foray into the MCU is whether censorship will take effect under Disney’s roof. Fortunately, it seems that the third installment is on the right track and will keep everything that makes the character irreverent and fun. All of the above, information assured by its director Shawn Levy who is in the middle of the writing process.

So he told Collider while explaining how fun it is to develop the character. It also influences that for the first time it will belong to the famous Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which opens up countless doors and opportunities to play with him and other characters from the franchise.

“We’re writing, rewriting, developing and preparing Deadpool every day now,” Levy said. “It’s wonderful to laugh every day. It’s so delicious to listen, write and think about these scenes where people just talk bad. And the violence is direct and it’s rude and it’s very much a Deadpool movie. And he has Logan there.”

Of course Deadpool 3 faces several challenges ahead with his arrival at Disney. From retaining his characteristic rude and violent tone; until introducing a character like Wolverine to the MCU in an environment like this. According to the words of its director, it will be the first R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And Disney seems to have no problem with it.

“It is fun. I’m having so much fun and I haven’t made it to the set yet,” the director continued. “I have to say that developing a Deadpool movie is one of the most fun creative experiences of my life because it’s not just that it’s Rated R. It’s just that it’s so full of self-awareness, and that makes it really, really fun to write.” in a way that is unique to this franchise.”

On the other hand Shawn Levy is sure that the shelter of the MCU comes with great benefits. One of them is that this time it will have many more and better visual effects. A detail that he does not want to miss. However, both he and actor Ryan Reynolds plan to be very careful not to lose the essence that we love so much about the character.

“The truth is, the more digitally CGI a film is, the more time you need in post-production,” Levy continued. “But obviously it’s the first film of deadpool in the MCU. There will be no lack of visual effects. But it’s also a top priority for Ryan and I to keep Deadpool raw and gritty and grounded in the way that those movies have been and that we all love.”

Deadpool 3 It still does not have a date to start filming. However, it has already been confirmed that its tentative release date was scheduled for November 8, 2024.
