VinFast’s commercial journey in Europe has begun. The Vietnamese brand has begun to spread its tentacles across the Old Continent, with the opening of dealerships in France, Germany and the Netherlands, where its two electric models, the VF 8 and VF 9, are already available under reservation and subscription.
VinFast begins its implementation on the European continent. For a few weeks their models have price in germanyand the Vietnamese firm already has commercial facilities in this market, in France and also in the Netherlandss, where he has opened no fewer than five dealerships, setting himself the goal of opening up to fifty branches in these countries before 2025later extending to other markets of the Old Continent.
But also in the United States, where it intends to land in the coming years, after confirming an investment of 2,000 million dollars for the construction of a production plant in North Carolina. The manufacturer has pointed out that it already has 73,000 orders of its new -and first- electric models, the VinFast VF 8 Y VinFast VF 9all over the world.
VinFast electrics will be sold under subscription
Both models will be on the Dutch streets from the end of the year, sharing a modern aesthetic identity, both inside and out, the first with a length of 4.75 meters and a battery with two capacity levels, with 82 and 87.7 kWh. Depending on the version, “Eco” or “Plus”, the autonomy performance differs between the 420 and 471 kilometers in the case of the first and between 400 and 447 kilometers in the second.
In the case of the second, it is one of the first electric SUVs on the market with seven seats with little competition in sight. It is offered with an all-wheel drive version and two electric motors that produce 408 hp, associated with a 92 and 123 kWh battery. Once again, the maximum autonomy depends on the “Eco” and “Plus” versions, with 438 and 594 kilometers in the case of the first, and with 423 and 580 kilometers in the second.
But the most interesting thing is the sales program, since VinFast only offers the models through a subscription system, as the battery is not included in the pricesomething that will be possible from 2024. For now, Dutch customers will be able to opt for a “Fixed” option, which has no kilometer limitand a fee “Flexible” mandatory for customers traveling less than 500 kilometers. Both include all maintenance and repair costs for the models, as well as battery replacement if capacity falls below 70 percent for any reason. A new form of mobility that they hope will attract thousands of customers.
