Episode 3 of season 4 of successionhas become a cult piece in just hours of its premiere on HBO.
The chapter that develops the wedding of the character Connor, in the midst of Logan’s agony inside a plane, aroused multiple comments on social networks.
Among them, that of the film critic, Erik Anderson, who pointed out that the character of Tom Wambsgans, curiously, does not have an iPhone, unlike almost all the characters in the series, opening a theory about the future role that he will have in the next episodes.
“When you think back, Apple doesn’t allow villains to use iPhones and Tom has an Android,” Anderson wrote.

Villains can’t use iPhone?
Two years ago, the popular director, Rian Johnson, revealed a detail that goes largely unnoticed by users when viewing an audiovisual piece, and it is precisely the model of the telephone device used by each character.
In an interview with the media Vanity Fair, the filmmaker analyzed a scene from the film ‘Puñales por el espalda’, nominated for an Oscar for best original screenplay at that year’s Academy Awards.
“I don’t know if I should say this or not. Not because he’s lewd or anything, but because he can screw me over in the next mystery movie I write. Forget it, I’m going to say it, it’s very interesting. Apple lets you use iPhones in movies, but — and this is crucial if you’re ever watching a mystery movie — bad guys can’t carry iPhones on camera. Every filmmaker who has a villain in his movie that should stay a secret is going to want to kill me right now.”
According to the director, the manzanita company prohibits characters who are villains in a plot from using their devices.
Is it a coincidence about Tom? Well, we’ll see that in the next episodes of the HBO series, which has been so successful among specialized critics.
