Through an instructional video released on their social networks, Venezuelan professional baseball team Caribes de Anzoátegui announced the launch of a membership based on blockchain technology for fans of the team based in the east of the country.
Caribes de Anzoátegui, a team with four titles in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) made up of some players who make life in Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States; made the announcement on the first day of the start of the 2022-2023 season last Saturday, October 22.
The membership will allow benefits to the members of the fan club of the oriental franchise, becoming the first of its kind in the Latin American country to launch this type of credentials based on decentralized technology.
The video shows in six simple steps what users interested in being part of Caribes Fan Club must do in order to acquire a membership of this type. It is worth noting, that By making use of blockchain technology, the user must have access to a non-custodial wallet like Metamask in order to qualify for a membership.
Until now, the scope of the benefits that fans who acquire a membership of this type can obtain and under which blockchain network they have been deployed are unknown.
