Vehicle verification is a requirement for vehicles that circulate both in Mexico City (CDMX) and in the State of Mexico (Edomex) and must be done twice a year, depending on the hologram and number of plates that are brought.
The Ministry of the Environment (Sedema) of Mexico City announced the complete vehicle verification schedule corresponding to the second semester of this 2022. In this sense, we will tell you which motorists will have to present the procedure during the month of December, so you will avoid any fine or economic sanction.
Cars that are verified in December 2022
The Ministry of the Environment (Sedema) announced that the vehicles that have to do the vehicle verification on the CDMX during December are the vehicles with gummed blue and termination of plates 9 or 0.
If your car has plates circulation ending in 9 or 0, you have until December 31 to make the vehicle verification 2022 in the Edomex.
How much does the vehicle verification cost?
In the capital the cost of vehicle verification for 2022 is 628 pesos plus Value Added Tax (VAT).
In the State of Mexico the cost is according to the hologram:
- 384 pesos: Hologram 1 and 2
- 481 pesos: Hologram 0
- 962 pesos: Hologram 00

In both cases you have to fill out a form and add the day and time of your appointment. At the end you will have to print the format. Do not forget that December is a month with different celebrations, so there are days off, so check if the service centers will be open.
