It’s been a busy month for Valve, but things aren’t standing still, and the company has detailed its future plans for Steam Deck. In the month since launch, Valve has continued to develop SteamOS, and in a recent blog post marking the first month since launch, Valve has outlined some of the projects. The Steam Deck was first revealed by Valve in July 2021, promising to bring all the freedom and power of PC gaming to a portable format.
Future plans for Steam Deck include expanding support for its anti-cheat services, as well as supporting Windows 11 compatibility, among others.

Future plans for Steam Deck
The first thing in the valve blog post about future plans for the Steam Deck is everything related to the most significant focus of the console, the games. The Deck already boasts over 2,000 verified or playable games with the promise of more to come as testing continues internally at Valve’s offices and with feedback from the Steam community. Also, support for anti-cheat services is being expanded.
11 more Xbox games are now officially supported on the Steam Deck
Finally, Valve wants to continue supporting Windows on the Steam Deck, with the arrival of Windows 11 on the portable console shortly. This is part of future plans for the Steam Deck, which is also set to iron out a few issues and quirks before it fits in with Valve’s full vision for the handheld, though it looks like progress is pretty good.
