Last friday the FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus published a statement through their official accounts demonstrating their satisfaction with the judicial decision, in which UEFA was ordered to annul all the actions against the founding entities of the European Super League. But Ceferin seems to disagree with this decision and he totally does not care what has been ruled in the courts of Madrid. As reported by ‘The Times’ UEFA has assured that it will not abide by its decision and will take the matter to the Court of Justice of the European Union.
It seems that the fight over the Super League does not stop and less after the founders of the Superliga managed to win in the courts of Madrid, but UEFA he’s not going to let the founders win and he’s not going to sit idly by.
According to the ruling in the Mercantile Court 17 of Madrid, what was intended was to abolish all restrictions, actions and economic sanctions that UEFA had imposed on the founding clubs of the Super League. Besides including the final files of the open disciplinary files to FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus, but not only that, they also exposed that no club had abandoned, since the communications of the different clubs did not have any type of legal validity. In addition, the english and italian federations who took action against the Super League they must leave.
But despite being a ruling from a judge, for Ceferin it seems to matter little and UEFA has made the decision to bring this matter to the Court of Justice of the European Union, in Luxembourg where they hope they agree.
