The development of this title is a never ending story.
At the beginning of the century, Ubisoft released a game that, despite not being a commercial success, managed to create an incredible community of fans by being so well received by them, being so Beyond Good & Evil was listed as one of the best games of the French company, to the point that many expected to see a sequel at some point that would continue the events that occurred in the Ubisoft title.
However, the passage of time made it clear that this sequel was not in the closest plans of Ubisoft, being that as the years passed it gradually fell into oblivion until in 2017 it was finally presented at E3 what many longed for, although not in the way that was expected, since Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced as a prequel and with the idea of being a game with many more RPG elements and with a different experience than the original game. And up to here we could talk, since since then, we hardly know anything more.
A document from the annual meeting highlights that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development
And it is that what was said above is as it is, since the absence of novelties implies that Ubisoft would have canceled Beyond Good & Evil 2 without having communicated it, this being something that is reinforced by the fact that Michel Ancel, creator of the saga and responsible for this second installment left the video game industry.
However, while we have recently been able to see that Ubisoft has hinted that Watch Dogs games are over, everything indicates that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is having better luck, since in the same report of the annual meeting of questions and answers with the shareholders it has been mentioned that the title is still in development.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the year a rumor arose that Beyond Good & Evil 2 could be in the last stages of its developmentso we’ll have to cross our fingers for something to be seen in September’s Ubisoft Foward, in which we could have either the final release date or a new look.
