Steps to follow to download and play PS1
On this occasion we are going to offer you to use the most famous emulator for the community, the ePSXe. This does not ask for many requirements and has a high compatibility with computers. To obtain it, you will need to follow these steps:
- Enter to ePSXe.com and give to Download for Windows.
- Create a New folder in its Deskopen the downloaded, do click in Remove all and place it inside the folder they created.
- They should then go to ePSXe.exe, and click, this The emulator will open. If it is the first time they use it, a Guided setupthere install and choose the options recommended by the same emulator (or those that best suit your pc).
- To configure your keys or joystick they must either make them from the Guided setup or, if you want to do it later, go to the emulator and follow: Configure -> Game Controllers -> Port 1 -> PAD 1.
- Once the emulator is installed, to load your games PS1 go to: File -> Open Game List -> Folders and there they can select the folders where they have them.
- After selecting, do click in okay and ready! You can now enjoy your playstation 1 For convenience, we recommend returning to ePSXe.exe and create a Direct accessso you can have it in the Desk.
Its minimum requirements are:
- CPUs: 800 MHz (Dual-Core recommended).
- RAM: 256 MB (1 GB or more is recommended).
- System operational: Windows Xp SP3 or higher, MAC (64 bit only) or Linux.
- DirectX (Windows only): DirectX 8 or higher, with Direct3D support.
- CD–ROM: 16x or faster
What to do if I want the PS2 on my computer?
With the case of Playstation 2we will use the PCSX2, The process is similar but it has some installation differences that we will explain below:
- First of all we will go to the download section of PCSX2 and we will go down, if you pc is low-resource version 1.4.0 and if it belongs to medium or high resources, the 1.6.0.
- For the installation it is essential to lower the BIOS which will contain what the emulator needs to be usable.
- This is where we will repeat the procedure from the previous tutorial, create a New folder in it Desk and what they have downloaded extract it inside (Emulator + BIOS).
- Open the installer and select Normal Installationonce installed they will have the Initial setupwhere we will choose our preferred language, the plugin and we’ll get to the part BIOS.
- For this section we will use the BIOS that we previously downloaded. shall Copy folder address and stick it inside BIOS Search Folderthen select the option US v02.30 and give click in Finishthey should have something like this:
- For the configuration of controls, do the following steps: within PCSX2, Settings -> Knobs -> Plugin Settingshere you can set your keyboard or joystick.
- Finally, to select your games go to CDVD -> ISO Chooser -> Browse and there they choose the folder where they have their games Playstation 2 then go to System -> Run CDVD and to enjoy!.
Minimum requirements
- CPUs: Anyone who supports SSE2 (Pentium 4, Athlon64 or higher).
- GPU: Anyone who supports direct x 10, OpenGL 3, and 2 GB of video memory.
- RAM: 4GB or more.
- Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit).
Recommended Requirements
- CPUs: Intel Core i3/5/7 4th Gen or amd FX-8350 or higher that supports AVX2.
- GPU: Anyone who supports DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4
- RAM: 8GB or more
- Windows 10 (64 bit).
