A new WhatsApp feature allows us to hide profile picture, last connection and information to specific people. We tell you how to use it in this note!
After a year since WhatsApp announced that it was working on a feature to hide profile picture, last connection and information to specific people, finally we have the feature between us. The possibility of accessing this new privacy was available only to those who had whatsapp-betabut now it is available to all users around the world and on any device.
Until before this update, there were only three options to hide all this: Everyone, My contacts and Nobody. Now, a new option appears: My contacts, except… Thanks to it, we can choose who we want to see all our information and who doesn’t. But...How can it be activated?
The form is quite simple. The first thing you have to do is open WhatsApp, select the three dots options and go to settings. Once there, we select Account, Privacy and the title will appear Who can see my personal information.
Below this title are the options for time of last time, Profile picture and Info. We simply have to choose one of those options and select the new option My contacts, except… When we select this, the list of our contacts will open and it will let us choose who we want not to see what we have selected. And once we mark the green checkmark of confirmation, our privacy will be updated and clever! Now we won’t have to worry about people we don’t want seeing our profile picture, our info or our last connection time.
Something that needs to be clarified is that if we do not have the last connection time option activated, we will not be able to see the other person’s. The same thing happens when we have the read confirmation function deactivated, only that it is activated in the groups. But now that this function is already available, we can decide a little more about our privacy within WhatsApp.
