According to an official synopsis, the documentary series is both “a celebration of life and an exploration of the mysterious death of award-winning Latina superstar Jenni Rivera.”

On the other hand, it is emphasized that Who Killed Jenni Rivera? gathers “intimate images” and interviews that delve into the still undetermined causes of the plane crash on the outskirts of the city of Monterrey.
