The Rainbow Six community of players is impatient for the arrival of the next installment of the franchise, so Ubisoft himself has come to light to show us some aspects about Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, the new title from Ubisoft Montreal. which opens on January 20.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that, in this installment, you will face some difficult decisions. You will have to think as tactically as you can if you want to get in and out of the containment zone unscathed.
Before the game’s premiere, the developers at Ubisoft Montreal share three things you need to know before playing Rainbow Six Extraction, so that you are informed about one of the most important decisions you will have to make during your game: when to withdraw your team from the containment zone.
RAIDS HELP COMPLETE THE INVESTIGATION
REACT scientists seek to learn all they can about the chimera threat. That is why they need you. You will enter the containment zones and complete the objectives to gather as much intelligence as you can.
Each containment zone is divided into three subzones that are sealed by airlocks. Each sub-zone has its own objective that you can complete before moving on to the next one. As you progress through the areas, you will encounter Archæans that increase in number and difficulty.
YOUR DECISIONS CAN CHANGE THE COURSE OF THE GAME
The further you decide to go into the containment zone, the more you will learn about the Archæans. You also run the risk of your Operators ending up missing in action. After completing the zone, the airlocks at the end of the zone will be a space where you can weigh your options: continue to the next section in the hope of learning more or conserving the knowledge received and completing objectives by heading to the extraction zone.
ALWAYS THINK TACTICALLY
Before making the decision to continue or extract, you will have to think it through. Do you have enough supplies to tackle a more difficult section? Are your teammates still fit to fight? Did you lose a partner in the previous section? These are all questions that you will need to ask yourself and consult with your colleagues before continuing.
If your team isn’t fully ready for a bigger challenge, it may be best to mine to preserve what you’ve already learned. However, if you’re confident that your team is ready for the next sub-zone, take the risk in the hopes of getting bigger loot. Just keep in mind that if your team goes down, you’ll have to rescue them again. The risk is higher but so will the rewards.
