- Tom Holland confirmed during the premiere of his new series “The Crowded Room” on Apple TV+ that “Spiderman 4” is in progress.
- However, he said the meetings are suspended due to the Hollywood writers’ strike.
- Amy Pascal, the producer of “Spiderman,” also confirmed that another movie is in the works, but that it will resume production after the strike.
During the premiere of his new film work that is broadcast on Apple TV +, “The Crowded Room”, Tom Holland confirmed two news, one good and one bad.
The good: “Spiderman 4” advances. The bad: the meetings are paused.
In dialogue with Variety, the actor said he had “been in meetings” about the next movie in the Marvel franchise.
But he also said that those conversations discontinued for now after the Hollywood writers’ strike.
“I am not authorized to speak about this, but I can say that we had meetings. Although we have placed those meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers, ”explained the actor. “There were many conversations, but it must be made clear that these are very early stages”he added.
Last week, the producer of “Spiderman” Amy Pascalsaid about a potential new film in the saga: “Are we going to make another film? Of course”.
“We are working on it, but because of the writers’ strike, nobody is working. We agree with your requests. When they return, we will begin, ”she expanded.
Holland is the protagonist of “The Crowded Room”, a psychological thriller in which he plays Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested for participating in a shooting in New York in 1979.
The series focuses on interviews with Rya (Amanda Seyfried), and in which Sullivan reveals dark secrets.
In addition to being the lead, Holland is also the executive producer of the Apple+ series.

The Spiderman saga has become one of the most successful franchises in movie history.

In 2004, “Spiderman 2” was released, again directed by Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire. This sequel surpassed the success of its predecessor, grossing more than 783 million dollars.
The original Spiderman trilogy concluded with “Spiderman 3” (2007). The film was another huge financial success – $890 million worldwide.
