Now what Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is in theaters in Japan and it has been officially announced that it will arrive in Latin America on August 18thwhere a large number of characters from the franchise will appear, while Goku and Vegeta go to train, their protagonists Gohan and Piccolo will set the course for the new installment, so now that it is the return of the Red Patrol Army, together with new characters and the return of some others.
So while the film has 3D-like animation with 2D details, the response to this change has been mixed across the board, which is why a popular YouTuber managed to get several animators currently working at Toei together to figure out how what the movie would look like if it stayed in the original style of the shonen franchise.
You see, thanks to the wait the rest of the world must experience to enjoy the new movie in theaters there are spoilers everywhere, while fans of the Dragon Ball Super franchise are coming to avoid them online at a frantic pace, giving many fans an idea of what happens in Super Hero.
Meanwhile, the Youtube channel: Totally Not Mark, brought together several animators from Toei Animationincluding Andie Chu, Barkarott, and Glas, to imagine what Gohan, Piccolo, Pan, and the other Z-Fighters’ next adventure might look like if the Shonen movie decided to keep the animation style of the franchise’s past:
And it is that within the pages of the manga, Gohan and Piccolo are not currently in Granolah The Survivor, the most recent arc that has seen a new intergalactic bounty hunter introduced in Dragon Ball Super, so Goku and Vegeta are currently busy fighting against the strongest member of the criminal organization known as the Heeters, Gas.
So it will be interesting to see when Super Hero’s main events will be referenced in the story currently being printed in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, but we’ll have to wait until the film hits Latin America.
