Through a press release, the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Querétaro and representatives of the Querétaro Wine Cluster announced the second edition of the Querétaro Wine Festival 2022 that will take place on November 5 and 6 at the Querétaro Arts Center. During this edition of the Festival, the launch of new labels in the State will take place, as well as the presentation of the 3rd edition of the Q wine specially made with the participation of all the Queretaro wineries under the same seal and flavor. In addition, there will be artistic shows, live music such as flamenco, dance, DJ’s, cultural spaces, wine tasting, sensory workshop, presentations, “wine painting” painting contest, State wine stands and a wide gastronomic offer, cheeses from the region, as well as crafts and local products.
The president of the Querétaro Wine Cluster, Eusebio Goyeneche mentioned that after two years of absence due to a pandemic, the second Querétaro Wine Festival will start in November. Destination that is characterized by being one of the largest exporters of sparkling wine, in addition to positioning itself for the quality of its red, rosé and white wines.
“The purpose of this second edition of the festival is to show Mexico and the world that we are a great region of high-quality wines backed by being one of the most awarded in the world competition in Brussels,” he said.
In her speech, Liliana Cedillo Díaz, Director of the Querétaro Wine Cluster, commented that the wine festival will show the exhibition of high-quality wines in Querétaro.
He also confirmed that a week prior to the festival there will be a film series with art films related to the theme of wines and winemaking; as well as conferences that will be focused on highlighting the presence of wine in different areas such as liturgy, architecture and art.
“We want to highlight that wine, beyond a drink for consumption, is a root or promoter of culture,” highlighted the Director of the Querétaro Wine Cluster.
Finally, Alfonso López Mejía, representing Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado; Secretary of Tourism of the State of Querétaro affirmed that the State wine region has become the second most important tourist product in Querétaro and one of the most important nationally, with the participation and attraction of one million tourists a year. ”.
“Querétaro has built an entire tourist route around this region where, in addition to living gastronomic experiences in vineyards and artisanal cheese factories, they will have the proximity of its magical towns and tourist attractions.”
For this second edition of the Festival, the arrival of more than 2 thousand attendees is expected during the weekend of the event.
