TikTok eliminated more of 81 million videos over three months, among the main reasons, to violate their politics.
The relatively new social network of TikTok, has managed to win over a large number of users in a short time, among the main reasons, the easy virality of its videos, contents short-lived rapids, and the pandemic. The platform launched in 2016, has managed to occupy the position within the most used social networks in the world, competing with those that have even been in the market for more than 10 years, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. According to the Digital 2021 study carried out by We Are Social and Hootsuite, it was reported that TikTok is now the seventh most used social network worldwide with approximately 689 million registered users until January 2021; in the same way, it is estimated that it has 1,000 million people active each month. According to the Influencer marketing Hub in 2018, the number of videos played on TikTok at that time registered more than a billion videos played every day, so there are thousands of videos that are uploaded to the platform daily.
Despite being a platform where you can find almost any type of content, this, like the different social networks, have different policies to avoid having problems in the community; according to platform support site, the contents prohibit the promotion of: weapons, drug-related products or services, dating applications or live chat, sexual products or services, services that promote dishonest behavior, among many others.
According to the latest report from Compliance with Tiktok Community Rules during the second quarter of 2021, between April and June removed millions of videos from the app (81,518,334) around the world for violate the rules and terms of the platform, which represents a little less than 1 percent of all the videos uploaded to the social network.
Among these videos, it was 93 percent that were identified and deleted within 24 hours of their publication and 94.1 percent before being reported by users.

For their part, 72.9 percent of videos containing hateful behavior were removed before being reported, compared to 67 percent last quarter. This is proof of effective progress in detecting hate symbols, words, and other signs of abuse for review by security teams.
In the same way and to ensure security on the platform in the face of this type of content, TikTok has hired experts in politics of civil rights, equity and inclusion to improve the detection mechanisms.
In order to create a better user experience and avoid possible problems, TikTok announced the new functionalities that users will be able to access if they wish, such as the improvement of the configuration to silence comments and questions during the videos in direct; as well as the option for the host or co-host to temporarily silence viewers, either for seconds, minutes or the entire live. Similarly, creators of live broadcasts on the platform can now disable comments or filter potentially harmful through a keyword selection tool.
