The movie Thor: Love and Thunderhas arrived in theaters this weekend, as a curious fact we should mention that it has caused reactions in all areas of Mavel moviegoers and fans, so it has closed its first weekend successfully at the box office , which is torn between love and hate among the followers, where one of the main reasons for its sales is the interpretation of Christian bale like Gorr.
But among the main attractions were also the performances of Jeff Goldblum as the Grand Master and Peter Dinklage as Eitri, something that made the public curious, especially since these scenes were one of the most anticipated by fans, so now the director of the film, Taika Waititi, has opened up to cutting those scenes and the sequences with the actress Lena Headey:
“I wrote the thing, so when you cut something it’s a bit of a challenge to yourself because you think, ‘Am I not that good? Should I have seen this coming?’ But every movie I’ve ever done, I’ve probably cut the same amount. When you go into editing, you never know.”Waititi told Insider. “A scene by itself can be the funniest or the most intriguing, but sometimes those things, if you keep them, bring the movie to a screeching halt. So you have to do what’s best for the movie.”
So far, we could only assume that these sequences saw Bale’s Gorr slaughtering the characters played by Goldblum and Dinklage, but nothing has been revealed about the sequences, to which Waititi says there is no ill will on the part of the actors. who had their sequences in the Thor movie removed from the theatrical version:
“If you ask any of those actors who got cut, Jeff Goldblum, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, they all understand how it works. They’ve been in the game long enough. But that’s how I see it.”although even so, Headey’s management seems not to have been so calm with the situation, since they are suing the actress for the cut role.
So these sequences with Goidblum, Dinklage and Headey do not seem to be destined for a Snyder Cut situation, but rather will not be revealed, at least it is not the plan as the fans thought and requested, since Waititi has no interest in publishing the scenes. : “I’m not going to give you a moment because this is my way of telling you that people are like, ‘I can’t wait to see the deleted scenes with those actors.’ I don’t want people to see the deleted scenes because they’re deleted for a reason: no they’re good enough. The scenes weren’t in the movie and that’s it.”
