Being parents is one of the most beautiful experiences in life, we enjoy at every moment the joys that our children give us, but we also have the obligation to learn day by day, what are the ideal values to see our children grow up with great human and social quality.
The first thing that we must understand as parents is that, one day our little ones have to be self-sufficient and independent and while that stage arrives, we must prepare them little by little, that is why we offer you some tips that are very useful to apply from childhood.
What will I need to achieve this?
Give them confidence, support, collaboration, respect and a lot of empathy.
Which is the first step?
- We must allow them to learn to make small decisions, which they can choose through reflection and creativity, looking for options in the face of obstacles, focusing their path on the objectives and not on the difficulties.
- Giving them everything with their hands full will make them think that all life will have to be this way, so they must strive to achieve what they want, this is when we can sow the positive attitude that we all need, example:
“If you collect your toys, we can go to the park”, that is, one for the other, but it is not the same to say to him: “If you do not collect we do not go to the park”, which sounds more like blackmail or a condition than by course can be denied.
- Recognizing your effort is a great ally since you will realize that you can achieve what you propose for yourself, from getting a 10 on the task until you keep the order of your bedroom.
- Always motivate them to do what is right, what they set out to do or what is their obligation.
As parents, we have an obligation to give you the opportunity to feel capable and self-sufficient!
